Quick service. Food was different but would have again. Enjoyed exploring the NOLA dishes and expanding our taste buds. Great for private dates and groups. Bachelorette party sat nearby, so even out of town visitors find it delightful. Definitely recommend to bring the wallet/card. Three course meal.
Only one pelican in the entire club and it was a wooden statue. Not sure how to feel about a club for these majestic birds and the only living animals you see inside are humans, no real pelicans in sight. The food is good though.
The oysters are stunning. Full of flavor and seasoned to perfection. The scallops were over cooked but delicious.
My short rib was perfection. The potatoes had too much salt but the short ribs cancelled it out. The server choose the coconut cream pie for dessert and it did not disappoint. The only downside outside of no pelicans is the noise.
There is nothing breaking it up, including the music. We could hear people chewing across the room and every conversation. I’d absolutely go back if it was slow. The food is great.
Dinner reservation made for 6pm, and I was seated quickly but waited 15 min for the waiter to notice me. There were only 4 tables at the time, and all the others were getting good service. He did mention they didn't let him know I was there, and he provided good service after that. I went for the Coolinary, and although I was impressed with the food for that last year, this time not so much. The oysters were overcooked (I know the taste is also my fault since they're not in season, I should've known better). I upgraded to the 1lb lobster and shrimp. The shrimp were very good, as were the green beans and potatoes, but the lobster itself was cold, waterlogged, and lacking in flavor. They had a cold, strange butter sauce for it that was also not good. Also, it's mainly just a small size tail and claws, so you don't really get much, and it's not worth the upgrade. The best part of the bread pudding was the whipped cream and fruit, but it wasn't terrible, just average. I was hoping for the high-quality meal and service that I got last time. They definitely fell short, but I'd still go back and try something different.
I sat at the bar. Both bartenders took great care of myself and other people dining there. The food was great, I had the paneed fish, and it was cooked perfectly. Sauce was served on the side as I requested. I should also say that the wine by the glass menu has some great, high quality choices. Prices are reasonable for the quality of the food and atmosphere. I would return next time I'm in New Orleans.
Amazing menu. We had a large group of people and the staff was excellent. All the courses were amazing and very had to choose what to order. Very thankful my wife was willing to share hers with me, she was not as lucky. The short rib was very tender.
My husband and I stopped in here for the coolinary experience and it did not disappoint. The scallops and tuna poke for appetizer were both absolutely delicious. You get a lot of tuna with the poke and the homemade chips that came with it were sooo good. My hubs got the chicken and I got the pork shank. Both were good size portions and very tasty. The creme brûlée was amazing!! Service was so good, our food came out super quick. Oh I almost forgot the house made foccacia is a must. Go here.
We came here for dinner with the family, party of 7. The service was absolutely wonderful. They spaced out appetizers, dinner, and dessert very well. The server was knowledgeable about the food being served and was very confident in her knowledge and overall just conducted herself very well. She was attentive to our needs and checked on us to ensure we wanted for nothing while we were there. The wine was excellent, and the coffee was excellent. I had the calamari, filet mignon and crème brûlée, all of which had gluten free options. I was so excited that they had gluten free calamari, as I have not had it in so long, it was a lovely fresh breath of air for me!
I would recommend dressing nice as this is a ‘tablecloth restaurant’.
Ordered from the set menu, the lobster was chewy, but I spoke to a couple at a different table and their lobster was good.
The baked oysters were sooo delicious, but the coconut cream pie topped it all. I forgot the pastry chefs name, but she was the sweetest little lady. Would go back to support her!
